For Doctors
This
site is primarily intended for patients and their families, however there
are a number of Conquer Chiari programs which physicians may find useful:
Handouts
Conquer
Chiari has developed single page handouts and information packets which
are a convenient way for doctors to provide quality information to newly
diagnosed patients.
You can
preview the handouts here:
HANDOUTS
As part
of our educational programs, Conquer Chiari provides this literature, free
of charge, to practicing physicians. If you would like to receive
any of the handouts, or information packets to provide to patients, email:
director@conquerchiairi.org
Please include your name, address, email address, specialty, and how many
new Chiari patients you see per year. Note, we send a maximum of 25
copies at one time. If you have any questions, call Rick Labuda at
724-940-0116.
Research Conferences
Conquer
Chiari organizes professional research conferences on a regular basis,
which routinely attract top surgeons and scientists from around the world.
The proceedings from these conferences are made freely available through a
video web archive. For more information about the conferences, or to
access the web archives:
RESEARCH CONFERENCES Note, the next research conference in
tentatively scheduled for November, 2010.
Research Grants
Conquer
Chiari has an active program of awarding research grants, including an
open call for proposals every two years (the last open call was Spring
'09). In the offset years, Conquer Chiari may choose to proactively
seek limited bids for specific projects to advance our research agenda.

If you
an idea for a research project you would like to discuss, contact Rick
Labuda at

Research Articles
Conquer
Chiari publishes a bi-monthly, on-line newsletter which contains detailed
summaries of recently published medical and research articles on Chiari
and related topics. Many physicians have found the newsletter and
its archives - which contain over 200 articles - to be a convenient way to
stay on top of the latest Chiari research.

site and includes both adult and pediatric research)
